Flipped-classroom

Hey guys!

I have seen already some of your posts on blog list and i do agree with all advantages you have mentioned about flipped-classroom model. However,we all should  admit the fact that dealing with ‘online’ classes was a struggle to us.At fist there was a lot of buzz around what we were supposed to do ,how we were going to proceed with all this stuff and if this was going to have a positive effect because it was difficult to cope with internet access at our school. It turned out to be quite a challenging experience ,something that would even teach  us a lot.

What I was curios about, was the  fact that how our teacher was going to understand if we were all online .Then I realized that there were orders we should follow and by this method the  teacher can check and quickly determine who understands the work, who’s struggling and who hasn’t watched the video we were introduced at the beginning of the course. There are a lot of complications dealing with flipped-classrooms such as ;difficulties with internet access or if students don’t watch the content at all .Maybe for someone is difficult to create a video or to know where to start. This kind of learning allows students to be the leaders of their own in the learning process. The blog that we are working on every week allows us to do everything on our own .We are independent readers and writers and we evaluate different texts or information given from our teacher.I personally think that this kind of method empowers students with freedom, stirring imagination to create and design.

I would like this new approach to be applied in the near future and because 'good teaching cannot be reduced to one techinque;good teaching comes from the identity and integrity of the teacher' is good to use new methods in classrooms.

  2. This method actually does empower students with freedom, stirring imagination to create and design.I like the fact that you have not forgotten to mention the drawbacks that this method has. However, you are still eager to make use of this method in your future. and that's good. I was actually as much curious as you were to find out how would the teacher understand that we were all online..We all benefited from this experience because we had a clear example of a flipped classroom. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us Tea!

  3. I also found very interesting the way the teacher used to understand that we were all online watching the video. As everything else even this approach has its own pros and cons and the way you showed them to us is very clear and well organized.
    Good job TEE :)

  5. I like the fact that even though you think there are a lot of disadvantages, you are open to using the method as an alternative way for the sake of variety that the students need, and i admire you for that.

  7. I got here the answer for my question. I agree in a way when you say that it is difficult to use this method. You have shared your own experience with us when you say that was challenging for you the first time, but i think that there is nothing easy at the first attempt practise makes it easier.
